Smart Choices. Bright Futures.

I’m running for the Park Hill School Board because I believe our district is the core of this community. As we look toward the future, we need leadership that balances academic excellence with common-sense fiscal responsibility.

When our leadership makes Smart Choices – we ensure Bright Futures for our students.

Student-Centered Success

Each day, the future of our community steps into Park Hill classrooms and we have a few short years to ensure each student graduates college or career-ready. We must prioritize classroom resources and support our teachers to ensure student success. Last April, voters gave a clear message that they want top pay to recruit and retain the best teachers in Park Hill, and the Board must prioritize this in the budget.

You deserve to know how decisions are made by the District – it’s your tax dollars at work. I’m committed to open communication and being a direct line for parents and stakeholders. Information should be routinely shared, and easy to understand. When the District faces big decisions that will have a direct impact on families – like redistricting or changes to special education programming – we must seek and listen to parent input.

Public schools are our community’s greatest asset – and schools are at risk. Funding and policy decisions being made at the county and state level could severely impact Park Hill in the coming years. I will be a tireless advocate for Park Hill, ensuring our resources are protected from political shifts and that public funds stay in public classrooms.

A Bright Future must be accessible to everyone. I am committed to fostering an environment where every student and family feels a sense of belonging and has the equitable resources they need to reach their full potential. This includes each student’s physical environment – no matter which school your student attends in Park Hill – they should feel pride when entering those doors and have access to the same resources as their peers.

The District’s research continually shows that Safety is a top priority for students and parents. For students, this means a supportive environment with multiple trusted adults to guide them through the day so they feel secure to excel. For parents, this means modern safety protocols and honest communication from administration.

Park Hill has a proud history, but I am confident that our best days are ahead of us. On April 7th, vote for Alexia Norris, who will focus on making the Smart Choices that lead to Bright Futures for our students.
