Deep Roots. Proven Leadership. Northland Values.
A Product of Platte County
Platte County is where I was raised – and chose to return and raise a family. Growing up on a farm in Weston and attending West Platte schools, I learned the values of hard work and community responsibility. After graduating from Mizzou and earning my law degree, we settled back in the Northland and have lived here for nearly 20 years.
Championing Our Schools
Public education is the backbone of a strong community, and for me, it’s a family legacy. My mom spent her entire career as a public school teacher, and my dad was a long-time school board member. I saw their service and dedication to families and students firsthand.
Today, that mission is personal. With two daughters in elementary school in Park Hill, I am deeply invested in the success of our classrooms. I was proud to serve as a lead advocate for Propositions G and O in 2025 – which both achieved overwhelming support from voters. Through that experience, it was clear to me that stakeholders in Platte County prioritize supporting Park Hill. I was committed to finding another opportunity to serve to be a consistent voice for parents and students in our community.
Dedicated to the Northland
I believe leadership means showing up. Beyond our classrooms, I have been committed to making the Northland a great place to live and work. I have made connections through the Platte County EDC and the Northland Chamber of Commerce, which give me the opportunity to learn about the diverse business and civic groups that lead our community. I have also served as a board member for the Northland Animal Welfare Society for many years and actively support my children’s school as a PTA member.
Expertise You Can Count On
Professionally, I have grown a career as an attorney at a Kansas City-based law firm, specializing in real estate while working with clients in a variety of industries. My career is built on navigating complex situations, seeing all sides, and finding solutions to bring parties together. I will bring that same detail-oriented, collaborative mentality to the School Board.
